KG360
Paola Antonelli, the curator of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa) New York, said that it will take years to understand whether the 360 of Kostantin Grcic is something that we might need.
She put the object in front of a crossroads, without choosing its path. Now I recognize the value of the project, its innovative qualities, even its charismatic power. I do, however, have a few questions, a few FAQs:
- if it is a work stool, why is it so uncomfortable?
- if it is true that one should not work seated for over 20 minutes, then what kind of job requires a concentration of only 20 minutes? And, finally, dear Konstantin,
- if for some reason I do forget how many degrees make a full circle, why would I care at what point on the protractor I'm on?
Besides its many defects, the form is pleasently ungraceful, well proportioned. Nice colors. Awful table.
