    Already Made: Simon Boudvin

That which is real, in the age of digital reproduction, looks diluted and blured. To this technical ability, one needs to sum the fact that there are buildings that are vulgar and absurd, and even though they actually exist, they manage to look fake. Third fact: Almost everything we learn and see in the world is done through second hand images such as videos, pictures and synthetic images.
Simon Boudvin is a French artist that uses these three facts (as starting points) while playing with pictures and riding the ambiguous line that lies between what has already been built and what is just a possibility. He created a series of photomontages entitled “already made” where he inserted some subtle, almost real elements into everyday contexts. By blending reality and inventions, he creates images that seem to pend between facts and lies.
